Nature Journaling • A Mindful Adventure
Nature Journaling • A Mindful Adventure
I am an ambassador for the Wild Wonder Foundation - a national organization dedicated to encouraging nature connection and conservation through attention, curiosity, art, science, and community.
What is Nature Journaling?
In the practice of nature journaling, you use words, pictures, and numbers to collect and record your observations, questions, connections, and explanations on the pages of a notebook. You do not need to be an artist or a naturalist to begin. Anyone can learn these skills, and you can develop them with deliberate practice.
• Nature Journaling builds creativity, curiosity, and observation and critical thinking skills.
• Nurtures a connection to nature and the outdoors.
• Invites people of all ages to slow down, pay attention, and experience awe and wonder.
As an ambassador of the Wild Wonder Foundation, I will help nurture this practice by setting the course for each individual to find their own personal style of observing and connecting to nature through this fun and easy journaling style.
Please contact me for more information and to discuss your group’s needs.
Come draw with us! What to Bring?
We will have some supplies, paper and colored pencils and markers. If you prefer your own materials we suggest a sketchbook or blank paper for drawing. Pencils and eraser - Pens - or portable watercolor paints or markers. Binoculars and a small ruler or tape measure is helpful.
Check my social feeds for scheduled open workshops on the Oregon Coast. Or call me to schedule a personal event for your group. We offer a sliding scale depending on the size and the purpose of the event.
